Securing Solihull's Police

Julian Knight hasn’t just been speaking up for Solihull in Westminster – he’s also been campaigning to make sure that all local bodies properly serve the needs of our community too.

When the West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner threatened to cut many local Police Community Support Officers in 2015, it was Julian who led the fightback.

He organised Westminster in Parliament to draw attention to the threat to PCSOs and met directly with Home Office ministers to represent residents’ concerns to the Government.

Thanks to the hard work of Julian and other Conservative MPs police funding was protected in the Budget early last year – and our local police service has benefited.
